Quick answer

Who collectsA private hauler under city contract: Waste Management of Washington (northwest and south Seattle); Recology King County (northeast and central Seattle) Seattle Public Utilities runs the service and bills it on the utility account; collection is performed by two contracted haulers by area. Garbage service is required for single-family homes. Seattle Housing Authority customers do not get SPU garbage/food & yard service. Businesses deal directly with the commercial provider for their area; apartments/condos work with SPU.210111213
