Quick answer

Who collectsThe city collects: Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) Government collection by Miami-Dade County (DSWM), not by the City of Miami Gardens or a private hauler ('city' type = public-sector crews; the public agency is the County). Miami Gardens is one of ten municipalities in the County's Waste Collection Service Area, so DSWM collects garbage, recycling and bulky waste from single-family homes. A limited number of communities get twice-weekly residential dumpster service instead of carts. The City publishes a bulky-waste flyer that sends residents to 311.1
How oftenTrash twice weekly (Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday), recycling every other week (some customers weekly with two 18-gallon bins)1
Set outAt the curb by 7 a.m. on service days, wheels facing the home1
